Brief:The Wing, a co-working and community space designed for women, to elevate their digital presence and transform their community engagement, was at an exciting phase, rapidly expanding its locations and memberships since its initial funding in 2016. The primary goal was to build and launch a mobile app for iOS, improve existing websites (member and admin portals, marketing site), and ultimately turn The Wing into a product-centric company where digital solutions were integral to its operations.

The goal was to create a digital experience that not only retained members but also strengthened the community and reduced friction in user interactions. This project involved defining the collaboration process, creating a consistent and on-brand visual language for cross-platform products, designing a seamless and accessible iOS experience, overseeing web design, and continuously communicating and presenting progress across all streams of work.

Outcome: Through the successful collaboration with the Prolific Team, The Wing’s digital transformation was a resounding success. We helped initiate and guide the hiring process, leading to the creation of a self-sufficient, talented internal product team. By the end of the project, The Wing’s product team had grown to 14 people, with digital products becoming an integral part of the company’s culture and operations.

Beyond qualitative improvements, we saw strong quantitative results within eight weeks of launch: 93% onboarding completion for new users, 24% increase in conversion from RSVP to check-in, 74% conversion from bookmarks to RSVP.

Winner: The Wing app winning the 2019 APPY Award for excellence in app design in the Home/Garden/Interior Design/Lifestyle category.
